What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Associate position at Fountain of Youth?
Position Summary
The Program Associate assists the Executive Director in managing operations related to all program services, including peer support groups, community outreach, and implementation of program policies, procedures, standards and curriculum for underserved adults within the Dubuque Community. The Program Associate assists in evaluating program curriculum in order to ensure standards and guidelines are adhered to, and performances are of adequate quality. Along with other duties you will be expected to keep track of, and analyze the metrics system. This will include data management, data clean up, and the presentation of data.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in overseeing the quality and success of all aspects of program operations, management, relationships, curriculum development, staff and volunteer training..
- Collaborates with other staff members on needs for strategic long-term program expansion goals.
- Create measurement tools, oversee data collection and evaluate outcomes.
- Analyze data on a consistent basis to determine successes and areas for improvement; assist in creating related program improvement plans.
- Report program metrics, operations data, and pertinent program data to the Executive Director.
- Oversee the collection and tracking of participant information and progress and maintain accurate records and submit as needed.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and updating program policies and procedures.
- Assist in monitoring, developing, and adhering to program budgets and assist with grant and contract compliances. Collaborate with other Fountain of Youth staff as needed.
- Attend relevant partnership meetings to connect with key stakeholders within the Dubuque community and develop new partnerships with community agencies for referral services.
- Collaborate with Donor Development and Marketing staff to bring stories to stakeholders, highlight participants, and bring in new participants
- Attend Program Committee meetings, assist in developing agendas and completing meeting notes. Assist Program Committee with goals and objectives.
- Is required to travel bi weekly and as needed to male and female prisons
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
- Must have an Associates degree (AA) in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in non-profit operations and/or similar role.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and written.
- Must have a passion to serve others and a cultural competency to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Experience in meeting preparation, facilitation and/or community relations.
Other Skills That Will Be Beneficial
- Experience in grant writing and social media skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, non-profit environment.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office & Google Apps
