Pharmacy Manager – Lead a High-Impact Team in Nuclear Medicine

We’re looking for a dynamic Pharmacy Manager to oversee operations in a specialized pharmacy environment focused on nuclear medicine. This role is perfect for an experienced pharmacist with strong leadership abilities, a commitment to safety and quality, and a passion for supporting life-changing therapies.

Your Key Responsibilities :

In this leadership position, you’ll be managing the day-to-day operations of a nuclear pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations while maintaining exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be doing :

  • Team Leadership & Goal Setting : Develop and communicate performance goals for the pharmacy team that align with the organization’s mission. You’ll be a mentor and motivator, ensuring that the team meets both individual and facility-wide objectives.
  • Financial Management : Oversee the pharmacy’s budget, manage profit and loss statements, and provide financial reports to leadership. You’ll be responsible for monitoring revenues, managing expenses, and ensuring profitability.
  • Compliance & Safety Oversight : Manage the pharmacy’s safety and quality programs to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. You’ll take the lead in safety audits, training initiatives, and may serve as the Radiation Safety Officer, ensuring a safe environment for the entire team.
  • Customer & Vendor Relations : Collaborate with the Sales Director to maintain strong customer relationships and support service contracts. Negotiate with vendors for equipment and supplies to optimize costs and product reliability.
  • Inventory & Facility Management : Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee facility maintenance. You’ll ensure that equipment is functioning properly, inventory levels are sufficient, and the pharmacy is prepared for inspections at any time.
  • Team Development : Hire, train, and lead pharmacy staff. You’ll provide regular coaching and feedback, assist with personnel actions such as promotions and terminations, and ensure the team is well-prepared to deliver high-quality service.
  • Operational Support : Manage the proper handling and disposal of radioactive and biohazardous materials. You’ll ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards, and support daily pharmacy operations to maintain a smooth and effective workflow.

What We’re Looking For :

We need someone with a strong understanding of pharmacy management and a passion for making an impact in a highly specialized area of healthcare. The ideal candidate has :

  • A Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification in Nuclear Pharmacy (BCNP) or experience as a Radiation Safety Officer is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear pharmacy, ideally with some supervisory or management background.
  • Proven financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and P&L statements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
