Position Objective Summary: Responsible for the effort to order, receive, store and allocate materials in the warehouse facilities of Four County EMC.
The mental and physical requirements for this position (Warehouse Coordinator (District Office)) include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work is both inside and outside. May have exposure to extreme weather conditions. Must make and maintain bona fide residential abode within twenty (20) statue miles of assigned office.
- Must have the ability to operate a telephone and effectively utilize a two-way radio in executing the position’s duties.
- Must be able to access, input, and retrieve computer information for assigned operations.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must have the aptitude to logically and objectively evaluate obstructions and impediments to plans and programs, make rational independent decisions, and develop reasonable solutions to problems.
- Must have the ability to effectively interact with other Cooperative personnel, Cooperative members, and the general public.
- Must have the ability to perform mathematical computations necessary to account for accurate records and inventory.
- Must possess the physical strength to lift/carry and/or push/pull up to 100 lbs. of material/equipment, etc. without assistance.
- Must have ability to operate forklift in a safe manner.
- Must have the physical ability to stoop, climb ladder, and bend into awkward positions to accomplish assigned responsibilities.
- Must be able to attend work on a regular and predictable basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide for the ordering of all electric plant materials, rubber materials, and supplies utilized by the local district office.
- Receives and stores materials and supplies shipped to the local office warehouse.
- Pulls, prepares, and issues materials and supplies daily.
- Checks in materials left over on construction jobs and old materials brought in for retirement and disposes of scrap and/or obsolete materials in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures.
- Maintains security and control over materials and supplies in local office warehouse and pole yard.
- Maintains accurate material and supply records, completes physical inventory, and performs all clerical functions of the Cooperative’s work order system.
- To coordinate the receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, and disposing of electric plant materials to assure efficient and economical operation.
- Maintains warehouse, pole yard and storage areas in a neat and order manner. Including grading pole yard surface.
- Participates with supervisor developing procedures and policies relating to ordering, inventorying, and warehousing of all materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Recommends to supervisor improvements and/or changes to procedures for increased efficiency or economy.
- Receives and stores materials and supplies shipped to a local office warehouse.
- Establishes and maintains an inventory control system with assistance of supervisor.
- Completes physical monthly, semi-annual, and year-end inventory of materials, supplies and tools according to established guidelines.
- Run job analysis reports for accounting reconciliation to assure all materials are accounted for.
- Assists with non-climbing service work.
- Provide assistance to work crews with qualified observer duties, traffic flagging and materials handling.
- To assist supervisor with the scheduling of maintenance for equipment, building, and grounds.
- Performs other activities and assumes responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
- Inspect and documents safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and AED.
- Monthly inspections on building safety supplies and equipment, generator, mobile light tower, mechanical fleet pool vehicles check list, first aide equipment
- Responsible for procurement and inventory control of district employee snacks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
