Position Overview
Excellent growth opportunity for a mid to senior level Acquisition Professional. This opportunity is an acquisition position supporting the US Army and will participate in a hybrid work schedule, including both virtual and in-office work days.
The position of Acquisition Support Lead is a multi-faceted role that is heavily reliant on contracting, organization and problem-solving skills. The position requires acquisition support duties including pre-award acquisition support, doctrine/policy translation, briefing support, and business process analysis, in addition to Army customer product procurement assistance. The Acquisition Support Lead will be responsible for supporting Army Action Officers and Division Chiefs with a variety of hardware, software, and services contract actions. In addition to contract management duties, the Acquisition Support Lead is expected to perform specialized tasks including Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) product analysis, provide advice and consultation to internal and external stakeholders and recommend policy adjustments/creation. The Acquisition Support Lead will resolve product or services problems by clarifying the customer's issue, determining the cause of the problem, then selecting and explaining the solution.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the government in the development and life cycle management of multi-billion dollar contracts.
- Provide direct support to Army senior leadership to include but not limited to special projects and leadership briefings.
- Resolve customer inquiries for government contracts.
- Research, collect, interpret, and analyze government policy, market trends, and information from internal and external sources, and apply to business processes and contracts.
- Provide pre- and post-award acquisition support and process license requests for IT contracts.
- Conduct periodic vendor and Army stakeholder meetings.
- Compile and analyze contract actions and inquiry data in various reports.
- Complete specialized project assignments without lapse in contract support or customer inquiry coverage.
- Research and construct documents and reports for IT products and policies as related to the Army mission.
- Jointly establish and prioritize new initiatives, milestones, and tasks and track their progress.
- Interpret Army, DoD, and Federal rules and regulations.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- US Citizen with Active Secret Security Clearance required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience required. MBA or MS preferred.
- Ability to organize, analyze, and maintain large amounts of data and information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders through clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of government acquisition and the policies that govern the acquisition process.
- Ability to self-organize, motivate and stay on-task.
- 6-10 years of customer service, administrative, communication experience or equivalent. 12 years preferred.
- 3-5 years of government acquisitions or contract management.
- Experience working with Armed Services components.
- Must have extensive knowledge of MS Office and the ability to quickly learn new programs, when required.
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations preferred
