Position Details
What you will do?
As the Dietary Aide/Cook you will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and delivery of food services for our residents. for our residents. Specific responsibilities include:
- Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and National School Lunch (NSL) guidelines.
- Assists in developing daily meal rotation menus.
- Prepare & deliver meals on time per guidelines of NSL.
- Maintain food storage and preparation areas per standards.
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas at all times.
- Help supervise accurate meal count documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Program Information
What you need:
To qualify you must meet be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED. Additional requirements include:
- Must be well groomed, in clean and proper clothing, and practices good personal hygiene at all times.
- Able to communicate clearly with managers, and other kitchen staff team members.
- Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Understand and follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Able to safely and accurately handle kitchen utensils and other portioning and food preparation utensils.
