The Opportunity
Four Peaks has an opening for a senior scientist to support its growing water resources practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental sciences or environmental engineering, 7 or more years of experience in environmental consulting, able to manage and deliver multiple projects, mentor and supervise technical staff and teams, oversee technical analyses in water quality, and have the ability to generate new business. The position will provide ample opportunities to work on important environmental challenges facing our clients and rapidly grow into a leadership role within the firm. We are looking for a candidate based in a city with a Four Peaks office (Chicago, Seattle, Hood River, or Wenatchee).
Summary of Duties
- Lead water resources management, water quality modeling, and environmental data analyses projects nationwide
- Lead development of written and analytical deliverables for multiple, concurrent projects
- Provide regulatory and environmental compliance strategy to clients on Clean Water Act, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) licensing / relicensing, or CERCLA
- Participate and lead regulatory meetings on behalf of clients to identify and develop compliance and regulatory solutions
- Mentor technical staff on environmental modeling, interpretations of environmental data, and related technical analyses
- Contribute to marketing and business development efforts and generate revenue independently
- Travel to Four Peaks office and client sites to manage teams, clients, and projects as needed
