Bartender - Four Points by Sheraton Louisville Airport

The Four Points by Sheraton Louisville Airport is looking for Part Time Bartender who must be able to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening. The Bartender is responsible for being a part of a team maintaining high guest service scores by creating a level of culinary expertise and excitement that keeps guests coming through doors.

We are looking for dependable individuals with strong customer service skills to fill a Part Time positions as Associates in our Hotel Restaurant/Bar. Associates are responsible for promoting and ensuring guest satisfaction by delivering prompt, courteous, and quality restaurant service.

Must be able to work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings.

Basic Criteria: Must be very neat, clean, and well organized, with a high personal standard of cleanliness, sanitation and personal hygiene.

Job Duties:

• Prepare and serve drinks to customers following standard recipes
• Take food orders and enter into Micros for Kitchen to prepare
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area
• Check customers identification and confirm legal drinking age
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
• Upsell additional products when appropriate
• Monitor customer intake to prevent overconsumption
• Deliver food from Kitchen to dining area when needed and Wipe down table in bar and restaurant for next guests
• Provide the highest quality of service at all times
• Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and how to follow the steps
• Perform all other duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience in bartending or a related role
• Know local alcohol, food, and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel
• Knowledge of Micros POS systems
• Strong customer service skills
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to verbally communicate effectively with all guest and co-workers
• Prolonged period of standing and/or walking. Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and upward reaching.
• Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
• Compliance with all the brand standard operating procedures
• The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15-25 pounds.
