Summary: Reporting directly to the GM, the Sales Manager will be primarily responsible for executing Genuine Hospitality standard operating procedures to assigned hotel(s), including supervising, monitoring, developing, and implementing all sales and marketing strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ø Primary objective is to provide property sales & marketing efforts by delivering Genuine Hospitality standard operating procedures.

Ø Objective is to shift share to hotel by measure of the STR Report and A360 (if provided)

Ø Create and implement long and short-term marketing strategies and action plans to maximize sales and profitability in rooms, catering, food and beverage, and the overall operation.

Ø Direct the sales activities of the hotel to achieve budgeted goals and gain RGI.

Ø Supervise and monitor the execution of all hotel originated advertising programs to generate maximum consumer awareness and sales.

Ø Record all sales activities in Sales Pro or related system.

Ø Assist GM in hiring, training and monitoring of on-property sales associates.

Ø Conduct outside sales calls, prospecting calls and site visits as required

Ø Conduct weekly one on one meeting with GM

Ø Ensure all Genuine Hospitality S&M SOPs are in place and executed.

Ø Manage the sales operation of the hotel’s to achieve goals.

Ø Execute in the preparation of the hotel’s quarterly SMART plans

Ø Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and segmentation goals

Ø Assist GM’s/DOS’s in maintaining and optimizing Brand Websites on a weekly, monthly & annual basis.

Ø Provide Weekly Reporting to GM, President & Chief Revenue Officer.

Ø Participate in assigned properties weekly Revenue meetings when available

Ø Enhance the property’s community image and stay abreast of competition, new developments, and sales methods and techniques in the hotel industry to maximize profitability.

Ø Conduct and/or attend meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among company employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency.

Ø Keep General Manager, President and the Chief Revenue Officer fully and promptly informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

Ø Monitor and appraise the performance of subordinate staff on a timely basis.

Ø Assist President & Chief Revenue Officer with company-wide initiatives, SOP, blitzes, etc.

Ø Hotel Sales Experience

Ø Preferred Market Experience

Ø Preferred Brand Experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Material/Equipment Used

Computer, telephone, calculator, copier, scanner and facsimile.

Local, regional and out-of-town travel required. Own vehicle required for sales calls.

Working Conditions – Primarily working inside temperature-controlled building. Generally well-lighted. May be expected to walk and/or be outside occasionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
