Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Houseman to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel, ensuring that guests have a comfortable and pleasant stay. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Remove linen from guest rooms and transport it to Laundry for cleaning.
- Replenish Housekeepers carts with cleaned and folded linen.
- Ensure all public areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
- Manage laundry services by washing, drying, and folding linens and towels as needed.
- Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow established procedures for handling lost and found items.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests in a timely manner.
Experience
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or similar roles within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices and floor care methods is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
