Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee hotel operations, drive guest satisfaction, manage staff performance, and ensure financial success. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence: Assist in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth execution across all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Engineering.
• Guest Satisfaction: Lead by example in delivering a high standard of guest service, addressing issues promptly, and implementing strategies to improve guest satisfaction scores.
• Team Leadership & Development: Support hiring, training, and mentoring team members to uphold brand standards and enhance service delivery.
• Financial Performance: Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and identifying revenue opportunities to improve hotel profitability.
• Compliance & Brand Standards: Ensure adherence to Marriott/Four Points brand standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
• Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Work closely with the GM to resolve challenges, implement process improvements, and enhance overall hotel performance.
• Community Engagement: Build relationships within the local Peoria community to drive business and maintain a strong market presence.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Hotel Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of hotel management experience, preferably in a full-service or select-service hotel.
• Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to manage teams effectively, foster a positive work culture, and communicate professionally across all levels.
• Guest-Focused: Strong commitment to customer service and a track record of driving guest satisfaction.
• Financial Acumen: Experience with budgeting, P&L analysis, cost control, and revenue management.
• Brand Experience: Prior experience with Marriott, Hilton, or other major hotel brands is a plus.
• Flexibility: Must be adaptable to working a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
