I. POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing excellent customer service to the guest. Follow the Brand guidelines of the hotel and ensure the guests has a pleasant stay. Enroll guests into the Marriott Bonvoy Program and achieve monthly goals of the hotel. Able to check a guest in/out in a timely manner. Promotes the hotel restaurant, bar and amenities within the hotel. Handles customer complaints to the guest satisfaction.
Maintain a commitment to continually support all departments in accounting and guest experience, consistently providing friendly service, and consistently providing the highest quality product and value to every customer on every occasion.
II. WORKING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to: Front Desk Manager/Front Desk Supervisor
Interfaces with: All levels of management/, non-management associates, local businesses and
customers.
III. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
This role is an important part of the success of the hotel. The Guest Service Agent is primarily responsible for ensuring that all guests are treated to great customer service on a daily basis. This person is responsible for checking in and checking out guests, proper accounting procedures and to make sure the a.m./p.m. check list if followed. The position requires performance of general administrative duties inclusive of answering phone lines, photocopying of documents, understanding of light speed/galaxy. The Guest Service Agent is to maintain their brand training standards, achieve monthly SPG enrollments and identify and acknowledge guest levels upon check.
IV. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
¨ Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; plus, one year of office clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
¨ Previous customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel environment.
¨ Candidate should have outstanding analytical skills, attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, attention to detail and organizational skills.
¨ Must be able to work well in a high paced environment.
¨ The ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure effectively and work independently.
¨ The ability to deal with internal and external guests with a high level of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
¨ Must be a team player.
¨ Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of associates and management.
¨ Bilingual a plus
