What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visit Observer/Transporter position at Four Points, Inc.?
At least 20 hours per week for part time or full time is available. Evenings and some Saturdays required. Lifting up to 30lbs required.
The Visit Observer is responsible for assisting with daily office activities as well as observing visits. This includes case management and oversight of the facility for use by clients. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reporting to Program Director
- Attend staff meetings and any other meetings required by the Program Director
- Keep Program Director apprised of facility status and case management
- Case Management
- Receive referral forms from referral sources regarding new cases
- Arrange intakes for visiting/custodial parties as well as children at issue
- Observe and supervise visits between child and visiting party
- Transport children and adults for visitation
- Make appropriate referrals to the family for other service providers
- Prepare all documentation for case management and maintain case files.
- Keep apprised of and follow all agency policies and ensure all client/stakeholder interaction is conducted according to agency rules and policies.
- Obtain certification in drug and alcohol screening and provide screening for program clients
- Community and Public Relations
- Attend meetings with Executive Director and other staff
- Prepare all reports required by affiliations and funders as requested by Program Director
- Attend and participate in conferences, meetings and workshops for professional and program development
- Provide Program Director reports regarding the maintenance of the facility for visitation after inspecting the areas regularly
- Resource Development and Maintenance
- Assist with grant proposal preparation and reports as requested
- Participate with fundraising activities as assigned
- Build rapport with program clients
- Cleaning and maintenance, calling and emailing clients, attorneys, and case managers, Court testimony or participation, as needed, and any other tasks as assigned by the Program Director or Executive Director that are necessary for quality provision of program services.
A minimum of an Associate Degree in a related field and 1 year of social services experience is required. 3 years of experience in social services may be accepted in lieu of this requirement. Students nearing the end of their studies in a related field may also be considered. Additional starting pay for more education/experience.
