Maintenance Worker
Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Part-Time Maintenance Worker to join our team at Jellystone Lake Monroe. This position has the potential to transition to a full-time role, depending on performance and the needs of the campground. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the campground is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for our guests. The role involves a variety of tasks related to the upkeep of facilities, grounds, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on buildings, facilities, and infrastructure.
- Groundskeeping: Maintain campground grounds, including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and general landscaping. Ensure trails, roads, and common areas are clear and safe.
- Cleanliness: Assist in cleaning and sanitizing public restrooms, showers, and other shared spaces. Maintain trash collection areas and assist with waste management.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain campground equipment, such as lawnmowers, snow blowers, and vehicles. Report any major malfunctions or need for replacements.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections of all facilities, playgrounds, and recreational areas. Report any hazards or maintenance issues to management immediately.
- Customer Service: Assist guests with maintenance-related issues, ensuring a pleasant experience. Respond to guest inquiries related to campground facilities.
- Emergency Repairs: Address any emergency repair needs, including weather-related damage or unexpected maintenance issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in general maintenance, landscaping, or facilities management is preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and groundskeeping. Familiarity with power tools and basic maintenance equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Must be able to address maintenance issues efficiently and effectively.
- Communication: Good communication skills and ability to interact with guests and team members in a friendly, professional manner.
- Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Willingness to transition into a full-time role with additional responsibilities.
