General Summary: The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care is being provided. This role focuses on clinical leadership and compliance, staff management, auditing and quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. The Nurse Manager collaborates with the clinic manager, medical providers, administrators, and support staff to maintain a patient-centered, team-based care model.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and support the clinical nursing team in the delivery of patient care.
Leads the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new members of the Nursing Department.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions when needed.
Travel to other clinic locations as needed to provide support, oversight, and coordination of services.
Serve as the EHR nursing expert, ensuring all nursing staff are proficient in charting and documentation.
Works collaboratively with the Training and Development Coordinator to develop and facilitate ongoing training and competency assessments for clinical staff.
Ensures that the Nursing Department provides the highest level of clinical care including patient assessment and triage, response to patient nursing concerns, and abnormal findings, vaccine and medication administration, laboratory testing, patient education, use of Nursing Protocols and Standing Orders, etc.
Oversee clinical workflows, ensuring efficiency and compliance with NCQA and HRSA.
Implements and monitors policies and procedures pertaining to nursing protocols and other clinical policies and procedures.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Ensure proper infection control safety protocols are followed.
Promote team collaboration and effective communication between departments.
Engage in community outreach programs, health education, and patient advocacy efforts.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and HRSA guidelines.
Education: Graduate of an accredited License Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred
