We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our fast-paced, thriving business located in Groveland, FL. A strong focus on customer satisfaction and safety are a key element of working with Four Seasons Building Products.
Maintenance Mechanic responsibilities can include the need to:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Ability to use tape measure, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Additional requirements:
- Maintains a working relationship with machine operators and others in the warehouse.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to perform basic welding and cutting torch tasks when needed.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work alone on day to day jobs.
- Will report directly to plan manager.
- Must have the ability to trouble shoot electric motors, controls and basic electronics to determine why a piece of equipment isn’t running.
- Must have your own hand tools. Have own transportation.
