Position Overview:

A highly experienced construction professional who provides on-call superintendent services for federal construction projects. The role focuses on managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and maintaining project quality and schedules on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day construction operations on federal projects, ensuring work meets contract specifications, building codes, and quality standards

• Coordinate and supervise multiple subcontractors, managing their schedules, work quality, and safety compliance

• Review and verify subcontractor work against project plans, specifications, and submittals

• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to maintain OSHA compliance and federal safety standards

• Maintain detailed daily reports documenting site activities, progress, weather conditions, and any issues or delays

• Interface with federal agency representatives, contracting officers, and project stakeholders

• Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders through appropriate federal channels

• Ensure compliance with Davis-Bacon Act requirements and other federal labor regulations

• Coordinate with QC/QA teams to maintain federal quality control standards

Required Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in commercial construction supervision, with at least 5 years on federal projects

• Strong knowledge of federal construction requirements, FAR clauses, and government contracting procedures

• OSHA 10-hour certification

• Experience with federal quality control systems and documentation requirements

• Proven track record of managing multiple subcontractors and trade coordination

• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

• Experience with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes

• Background in military construction (MILCON) projects

• Familiarity with BIM technology and project management software

• Security clearance or ability to obtain one

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk construction sites and climb ladders

• Capable of working in various weather conditions

• Must be able to wear required PPE and safety equipment

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Work Schedule:

• Available on an on-call basis with flexibility to respond to project needs

• May require extended hours during critical project phases

• Possible weekend work as required by project schedules
