Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of garage doors. The Garage Door Installer will be responsible for ensuring that all installations meet safety standards and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain garage doors, openers, and related hardware.
- Perform electrical work related to garage door systems.
- Execute trim carpentry tasks to ensure proper fit and finish of installations.
- Conduct locksmithing duties when necessary for secure installations.
- Assist with cabinet installation as needed for integrated systems.
- Engage in metal stud framing for structural support of installations.
- Handle heavy lifting of garage door components and equipment safely.
- Install glass panels in garage doors where applicable.
- Hang doors accurately to ensure smooth operation.
- Utilize hand tools effectively and safely during installation processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in garage door installation or related fields such as carpentry or construction.
- Strong skills in electrical work, trim carpentry, locksmithing, cabinet installation, metal stud framing, and glass installation are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with the role.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in the installation process.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
