Job Summary:
Four Seasons Health Club is seeking a motivated and skilled Assistant Swim Coach to support the delivery of high-quality swim programs and ensure a positive experience for all participants. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head Swim Coach to develop swimmers' skills, promote teamwork, and contribute to the overall success of the aquatics program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching and Instruction:
- Assist in planning and conducting swim practices, lessons, and clinics.
- Provide individualized feedback to swimmers to improve technique, strength, and performance.
- Support swimmers of all levels, from beginners to competitive athletes, in achieving their goals.
- Program Support:
- Collaborate with the Head Swim Coach to implement training plans and program objectives.
- Help organize and manage swim meets, events, and team activities.
- Monitor swimmers' progress and provide regular updates to the Head Coach and parents, as needed.
- Attend meetings with the Family & Facility Services Manager and/or Head Swim Coach as needed.
- Safety and Supervision:
- Ensure all swim sessions are conducted in a safe environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Maintain a vigilant presence on deck to supervise participants and address emergencies promptly.
- Inspect pool equipment and facilities regularly to ensure proper functioning.
- Member Engagement:
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for swimmers and their families.
- Actively promote club programs and encourage participation in additional aquatics offerings.
- Build positive relationships with swimmers, parents, and club members to support retention.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous swim coaching or teaching experience, preferably with youth and competitive swimmers.
- Certifications in Lifeguarding and CPR/AED.
- Strong understanding of swimming techniques and training principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching team.
- Passion for swimming and a commitment to developing athletes of all abilities.
- Knowledge in Swim Team software, Team Manager, and Meet Manager or ability to learn
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in and around water for extended periods.
- Capable of demonstrating swim techniques in a pool setting.
- Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
Working Environment:
Functions regularly within exercise, recreation, and office settings. Is regularly exposed to smells of swimming pools, exercise areas, chemicals, and other cleaning supplies. Is occasionally exposed to bodily fluids or demanding physical exertion during emergency response situations; risks are minimized by adherence to established safety procedures. This role requires flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet program needs.
