Each of the yacht’s 95 suites will offer panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling windows and access to expansive private terraces.
About The Role
The primary responsibilities of the Shipboard Learning & Development Manager is to facilitate service training for all FSY departments onboard the vessel, coordinate new hire familiarization, perform administrative tasks related to learning and development and display a role model and professional behavior as FSY ambassador. While the Learning & Development Manager focuses on the FSY departments, he / she works in cooperation with the on-board Yacht GM for the benefit of the operation. This position reports to the Director of People & Culture, shipboard and Shoreside.
What You Will Do
Minimum of 3 years of experience as professional Trainer in the fields of luxury hotels and/or onboard cruise line. Great knowledge about F&B, Housekeeping and general service procedures. Must have previous sea going experience in same or similar capacity.

What You Will Do
- Demonstrate passion and knowledge in all international service standards for food & beverage and housekeeping and other departments as necessary.
- Prepare and facilitate professional service training for all FSY departments.
- Conduct customer service training job specifically like:
- * Departmental Familiarization
- * Product Familiarization (venues and concepts)
- * Body Language, Verbal Etiquette, Personal Image
- * Guest Recognition
- * Anticipating Guest Needs
- Facilitate basic supervisor and management training like:
- Coordinate and support new hire familiarization
- Follows up on progress and integration with new hire
- Welcome back all returning crew, with information regarding departmental changes while crew were on vacation related to FSY procedures.
- Support Cross Training program
- Oversee the Learning Management System (Cruise Control)
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum of 3 years of experience as professional Trainer in the fields of luxury hotels and/or onboard cruise line. Great knowledge about F&B, Housekeeping and general service procedures. Must have previous sea going experience in same or similar capacity.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
- Confident talking in front of an audience that include HODs and senior manager.
- Good administrative skills, organized with great time management.
- Experienced in coaching middle managers.
- Adherence to specific scheduled working hours, yet being flexible to operational requirements.
- Ability to interact professional in an international team
- Capable to perform assigned duties under pressure (time constraints) and in a constant changing environment.
- Easily adapts to change
- Cruise Ship Experience
- Task and Group Trainer Certification
- MBTI Certification Required computer skills
- Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Knowledgeable in using onboard systems like Otalio and Cruise Control
