Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Provide catheter care, including insertion and removal, as per medical orders.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist with hospice care and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain aseptic technique in all aspects of patient care.
- Utilize electronic medical records systems, including Cerner and Epic.
- Support nursing staff in the OR and assist with emergency medicine procedures as needed.
- Participate in home community care and ensure patient comfort and safety in their living environments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current certification as a Nurse's Aide (CNA) or willingness to obtain certification within the specified timeframe.
-Within the first two weeks will have to obtain NA course. After NA course is completed within 120 days start CNA provided by facility
- Prior experience in patient care or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, including Cerner and Epic.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures and hospice care principles.
- Commitment to maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring patient safety at all times.
