Job Summary -
We are looking for an organized, reliable and detail-oriented individual for our shipping and receiving department. Someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in making sure our products get to customers safely and on time.
As a Shipping and Receiving Associate at Four Seasons Manufacturing you will play a key role in our success by ensuring all shipments are processed promptly, accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible and accountable for loading and unloading packages/boxes, verifying shipment contents, coordinating with carriers like FedEx and R L, and managing all necessary documentation associated with shipping processes.
The ideal candidate for this role has prior shipping and receiving experience, can work independently, and has the ability to maintain both physical and digital inventories. Your work will be vital to keeping our department running smoothly
We are looking to fill this role during the hours of 10:30am – 7:00pm
Responsibilities –
All responsibilities include but are not limited to
· Package and address products for shipment
· Wrap packages and attach invoice for shipment
· Complete bill-of-ladings
· Pull orders for shipment verifying count. Weight, loading and unloading trucks as required
· Contact and schedule carriers for out=bound shipments
· Maintain knowledge of due dates, manufacturing schedules, and manufacturing progress
· Communicate shipping and delivery needs with all affected departments (i.e. Quality & shipping, keeping employees & customers informed of any changes and providing enough time for changes to schedule).
· Pack parts as needed for final shipment
· Ensure all safety procedures are followed concerning loading and unloading
· Organizing inventory
· Communicate with the management team any barriers that are, and that can potentially hinder or stop the flow of shipping process
· Ensure accuracy with all incoming & outgoing shipments
· Inspects items for quality and accuracy
· Process outgoing shipments, and ensure proper packaging and labeling
· Maintain accurate records of all shipment deliveries
· Operate forklift and/or other equipment to move, load, and store shipments
· Maintain an organized, and clean shipping at all times
· Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
· Perform other clerical duties (i.e. emails, phone calls, printing invoices, labels)
· Match shipping documents to product orders
· Occasionally assist other classifications in area of the plant and warehouse as needed
Qualifications -
· Specific knowledge of receiving, inventory, and shipping processes and procedures
· Requires general knowledge of FedEx Ship Manager, Density & Freight Class Calculator (do we include ERP system?), or proficient in shipping software or willing to learn
· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; especially Word & Excel
· Solid Skills in verbal and written communication, problem solving, and follow up
· The ability to work effectively with other team members

· Must be able to work in various weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and loading dock
Education and/or Experience -
· High School education or GED equivalent is required
· 1-2 years shipping and receiving experience preferred
· 1 year of forklift/powered industrial truck experience (forklift certification is a plus, but not required)
· Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment or packaging is preferred
· Must be able to understand/speak/read/write English
