About the role:
The Lead Host position requires a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic . The ability to multitask and prioritize is also essential for this position. The Lead Host is responsible for ensuring a positive experience for guests of our Bar & Restaurant s through a positive arrival and strategic management of the floor and flow of the outlet. Successful candidates will be a willing team leader, comfortable with electronic systems and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote teamwork across two outlets . The Lead Host is the guest’s first impression of the restaurant, with knowledge of seating chart, reservation system, menus, and guest preferences.
What you will do:
Maintain the reception area and entrance in all aspects of stocking and cleanliness
Assist the department managers with training of new employees as requested as well as leading the host team
Retain all assigned wardrobe in accordance with established standards and uniform guidelines
Work in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and deliver superior guest service at all times
Perform all assigned duties as detailed in your opening, afternoon and closing checklists
Check the blocking sheet to identify all regulars and VIP guests
Use OpenTable when taking reservations and when checking on current or future reservations; ensure accuracy when entering data into OpenTable
Answer calls promptly to maximize the restaurant’s capacity
Try to accommodate regulars and reservation requests of concierges
Utilize all tables to achieve higher turnaround of guests
Work closely with concierges and other agents to increase guest satisfaction
Assume all other responsibility relating to operational items at the reception desk
Complete all administrative duties competently, efficiently, thoroughly, and in a timely manner
Attend training sessions and read training notes to improve your knowledge
Give constant feedback to managers regarding our guests’ satisfaction and any issues that may arise
Be fully conversant with the geographical layout of the operation and to know the exact whereabouts of all operational equipment
This position may also respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner
Complete any other task as assigned by management
This position must be adaptable as they may be asked to work in any of the F&B outlets at the property as needed
What you bring:
Previous experience in fast paced Food and Beverage environment or related work experience
A bility to operate computer equipment and experience with Opentable preferred
T his role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.
Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States. Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
Must be able to stand for 8 hours.

Schedule & Hours:
This is a full-time position.
A successful candidate will have the ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts , weekends, and holidays.
