- 6 months - 1 years of Human Resources/recruitment experience or equivalent is required and preferably in a luxury hospitality environment.
- You are bilingual in Spanish (reading and writing)
- You have outstanding communication skills and confident in having conversations at all levels of management.
- You are knowledgeable in local, state and federal employment laws.
- Create strong and open communication relationships with all levels of resort managers and ensuring you understand the recruitment needs and skills of each position.
- You have the strong ability to be aware and present in supporting the operational departments when needed.
- Knowledge of common administrative tasks and high proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to operate computer equipment, technology, and other HR databases (Workday experience preferred but not required )

What would my job responsibilities be?
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive recruitment and career growth. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for attracting the best talent to join our resort team! You will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding in our highly seasonal beautiful resort. In addition, you will assist with HR administrative function as needed.
- You are a brave problem solver with the highest level of hospitality mentality and professionalism.

- Responsible for designing and leading the recruitment strategy for the resort – Own recruitment, build a strong candidate pipeline and find innovative ways to find and recruit talent.
- Network with local organizations and peers to source candidates for current or future openings.
- Develop strong ties with international organizations to bring seasonal workers to Whistler, travel may be required to attend in person job fairs internationally.
- Develops and leads an effective recruitment strategy that attracts and retains top talent
- Research market and industry trends to target candidate pools.
- Work closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs. Understanding the importance of i nterviewing and providing guidance and counsel to our managers throughout the process.
- Develop, implement, and share best practices methods for external social media, data mining, and using LinkedIn Recruiter to target top candidates.
- Produce reports/metrics for leadership including current job activity, candidate flow and hiring trends.
- Identify and execute strategies that serve to attract, retain , and develop diverse premiere talent.
- Oversees and manages line level and supervisor recruitment including job postings, interviews , job offers, tracking applicants and ensuring follow up.
- Be the liaison between the Resort and schools, universities, and employment agencies.
- Design, develop, and implement Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging programs to support attraction of diverse applicant pools.
- Strives to improve employee retention. Review and analyze recruitment trends: Turnover, Resort Promotions, local and industry information.
- This position is mostly Part Time Monday - Friday with possible weekends or evenings as business operations are needed.
