SUMMARY OF POSITION
As the Seasonal Pool Attendant at the Luxurious Kenwood Inn and Spa, you will be responsible for serving guests food and drinks poolside From April to November. The Pool Attendant is always prepared to greet guests by offering them water and a place to relax. In addition to serving our guests, you will be responsible for keeping the pool area clean, restocking towels and other necessary items, and other tasks assigned by your supervisor.
Required: Over 21 years old, comfortable with food preparation and fast-paced environment with high volume of food and beverage orders. Must be willing to work outside, rain or shine!
WHEN WE NEED YOU
- This position will start at 3 days per week - Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- 24 hours per week
- 9:30am-6pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. *Must be 21 years of age or older* Answer questions on menu selections.
- Acts with a professional demeanor at all times.
- Is outgoing and always positive and ready and willing to go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience for guests.
- Prepares orders in the kitchen which may include reheating prepared items and putting the final touches on prepared plates.
- This shift requires being on your feet the majority of the day and making many trips back and forth to the kitchen.
- Ensure that the pool area looks picture-perfect at all times - keep lounge chairs and tables straightened and clean, launder dirty towels, restock clean towels, ensure pool bar is clean and organized.
- Provide exceptional service to guests at all times and check in with them to ensure satisfaction with food and beverages.
- Actively sell food and beverage to guests by promoting specific products.
- Pick-up trays and clean tables as needed to ensure a clean pool area.
- Bus tables/lounge chairs when guests have completed eating and bring dirty dishes to kitchen.
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items
- Occasionally lifts items weighing up to 75 pounds
- When walking around property, picks up trash, restocks supplies and tidies at all times.
- Brings any substandard conditions, including potential safety hazards to the attention of the Manager or Front Desk Person.
- Must be flexible in scheduling and able to effectively communicate with Manager, Assistant Manager, co-workers and guests.
- Helps to foster a positive teamwork environment.
- Uses equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, follows established safety procedures, uses appropriate safeguards and observes common sense rules of safety in all on-the-job activities.
