Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist in various tasks related to electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on construction sites. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn about high voltage and low voltage systems, blueprint reading, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand electrical layouts.
- Use tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to test electrical systems and troubleshoot issues.
- Support experienced electricians in high voltage and low voltage projects on construction sites.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to NEC standards while performing all tasks.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of electrical systems and techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of an electrical training program is a plus.
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts, including familiarity with voltmeters, ohmmeters, and NEC regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Previous experience as an industrial electrician or in a construction site environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians.
- Must possess good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
