We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team and are looking for individuals with strong organizational skills, flexibility to work at different buildings on a daily basis, and who can manage multiple tasks at once and juggle competing priorities.
Maintenance Responsibilities
- Utilize your skills and experience to resolve maintenance issues including; plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boiler systems, flooring, windows, appliance repair, and more
- Respond to service requests and work orders
- Bring your tools needed to properly complete tasks each day
- Identify maintenance and liability hazards and repair/report to supervisor
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and units
- Make all repairs/replacements necessary for apartment to be occupied
- Assist as needed in other areas of property maintenance including painting, grounds- keeping, trash pick-up, housekeeping, office support, etc. depending on property needs
Basic Requirements and Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is a must
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field will be a plus
- 3 years’ experience maintaining multi-family, student housing or community buildings
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Excellent Customer Service
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
- Clean Background Check and Driving Record
- Customer Service Responsibilities
- Must be courteous and caring of personal property and treat co-workers and customers with respect at all times
Physical Requirements
- Will be required to walk, stand, sit, crawl, crouch for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Will be required to work in confined spaces and on ladders at times.
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive pay in the range of $22.00-$26.00 per hour
