Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Roofing Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing roofing projects, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of roofing projects, coordinating with crew members, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of roofing construction projects, from start to finish.
- Coordinate daily work activities, scheduling, and project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, building codes, and company quality requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure materials and labor are available and efficiently utilized.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction.
- Communicate project status updates to clients and management regularly.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports, material usage, and project costs.
- Train, mentor, and supervise roofing crews, ensuring high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among crew members.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in roofing construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques, including shingle, flat, and slate roofing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
- OSHA certification and other relevant safety training is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
