SUMMARY:

Plan, execute and evaluate with Slot Operations Management all promotional gift prize drawings to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Responsible for facilitating all marketing promotional gift giveaways, drawings, concerts, and events.
  • Attends marketing meetings as a source of knowledge concerning upcoming promotions, events, and charters.
  • Prepares detailed reports on redemptions and variances as needed.
  • Creatively resolves problems related to promotions, events, concerts, and charters.
  • Held accountable, to a high degree, for maintaining accurate and thorough departmental records and reports. Facilitates the flow of information throughout Slot Management by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings. Responsible for the process flow of all motor coach procedures in conjunction with the WClub Operations.
  • Work with the motorcoach vendor and Sales Department to resolve any discrepancies or changes in operations.
  • Responsible for coordinating, in conjunction with the Sales Department, the needs of other groups that may request Players Club offers.
  • Responsible for the process flow of all property marketing gift promotions and promotional drawings, and staff related to same.
  • Responsible for maintenance of promotional inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with Events staff.
  • Works closely with multiple operational department managers and administrators to achieve successful communication and desired results.
  • Implements procedures and objectives relating to gift promotions, promotional drawing, events, and concerts.
  • Assists in providing oversight for preparation and execution of giveaways, drawings, events, and concerts.
  • Handles guest service issues related to promotional drawings, giveaways, events, and concerts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises the activities of employees in the Slots Promotions and Events Department.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Three to five years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3 years in a casino marketing field, including a working knowledge of all aspects of marketing promotions and events. Excellent communications skills and organizational skills required.  Must be computer literate with basic word processing and spreadsheet skills.  Basic accounting knowledge required.  Must possess a working knowledge of advanced casino marketing principles and be capable of applying same to designated responsibilities.

Strong organizational and communication skills required.

This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to write effective letters, memos, speeches. and articles for publication. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from staff members at all levels, guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings.  Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This position may require the employee to travel.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  A casino environment is typically smoky.
