EMR Operations Manager
Summary :
The EMR Operations Manager will manage various EMR related projects and initiatives for ongoing success and maintenance in all markets. EMR systems include Epic, Digital Front Door, Agility, and limited integrated third-party vendors. The EMR Operations Manager will work closely with the VP of EMR, Epic support teams, and center team members to implement, monitor, assess, and improve the performance of all EMR related initiatives.
The EMR Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the EMR systems, ensuring operational alignment with business priorities and providing support and education to employees regarding the system across all markets. This includes executing Epic projects that require gathering and interpreting data, developing and maintaining project schedules, maintaining and properly controlling project scope, collaboratively implementing projects, monitoring project budget, mitigating risks, fostering sustainable relationships with existing and new partners, and serving as a strategic thinking partner within the project team.
Company will send EMR Operations Manager through an EPIC certification program; some virtual and some onsite at EPIC’s headquarters in Wisconsin.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Engage with operations to prepare for adoption of Epic optimizations and enhancements, including staying aware of future upgrades
- Monitor and respond to EMR tickets in FreshService
- Manage Epic process for new center openings and relocations in South Carolina
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate project meetings as needed to effectively manage the project tasks and resources.
- Collaborate with multiple functional areas across the organization to gather operational requirements, improve processes, and influence operations as they pertain to the EMR as directed by the VP EMR.
- Serve as resource liaison between all market’s Epic applications teams and center team members.
- Maintain process documentation and provide regular reporting of EMR status
- Facilitate and / or lead process improvement discussions and ensure that current state, desired state, and gaps are well-documented for development of recommendations.
