We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and their pets by assisting them with product selections and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong work ethics, good communication skills, and work well with others in a fun, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their pets.
• Assist customers with educating and locating pet products within the store.
• Assist customers with carry-outs to their vehicle.
• Maintain stock levels by organizing merchandise on the sales floor and in storage areas.
• Communicate promotions, sales, and new arrivals to customers effectively.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive experience for callers.
• Receiving weekly orders when they come in, unpacking them and stocking the store.
• Cashiering.
• Cleaning, dusting, shoveling snow, mopping floors, etc.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pet retail sales is preferred but not required.
• Strong basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with customers effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Ability to multi-task
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn about pet products and services offered in-store.
• Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability and willingness to interact with dogs, cats and other small animals.
• Ability to be flexible with your schedule and attend periodic staff meetings and product training.
