Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused, and highly organized Host/Hostess with Togo Specialist experience to join our team. This role combines greeting and seating guests, managing to-go orders, and providing excellent service throughout the guest experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient with the Toast system, ensure efficient communication and coordination of to-go orders, and contribute to a smooth and organized front-of-house operation.

This position is an hourly wage with additional tips from to-go orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Reception & Seating:
• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Effectively manage the seating chart and ensure prompt seating of guests according to table availability and guest preferences.
• Communicate wait times to guests and maintain a pleasant waiting area.
• Togo Specialist:
• Accurately take to-go orders from customers either over the phone or in person.
• Utilize the Toast system to enter and manage orders and payments for to-go customers.
• Coordinate and ensure the correct handoff of to-go orders to guests and delivery drivers, confirming accuracy before orders are released.
• Maintain a smooth, organized process for all to-go orders, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Phone Handling:
• Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, directing calls to the appropriate team members or taking messages as needed.
• Provide information about the menu, specials, or order status as needed for in-house and to-go guests.
• Organizational Tasks:
• Maintain a clean and organized host station, ensuring all necessary materials (menus, reservation books, etc.) are in place and easy to access.
• Keep the to-go order area organized, ensuring all items are correctly packaged and ready for pickup or delivery.
• Assist in rolling silverware for service and ensuring the dining area is properly stocked and prepared for service.
• Team Coordination:
• Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to ensure smooth communication and coordination during service, particularly with regards to to-go orders and seating flow.
• Assist in managing guest flow during peak hours, maintaining efficiency and a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Customer Service Excellence:
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional attitude at all times.
• Ensure guests feel welcome and valued, responding promptly and effectively to their needs or concerns.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Assist in maintaining and organizing menus and promotional materials.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a customer-facing role preferred.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in the Toast POS system or similar systems.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Compensation:
