What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Designer - Home position at Fourth Floor?
Our client, a leading home textiles manufacturer, is seeking a CAD Designer to join their soft home goods team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Attend weekly design meetings to review needs of merchandising team
- Enter artwork and colorway information into the PLM system
- Ensure data is accurately inputted and updated for all artwork
- Assist in following copyright and trademark policies
- Develop artwork needs (concepts, layouts, repeats, colorings, coordinates, pillows, etc.) for presentation to customers and/or development packets to send to vendors
- Prepare and organize CAD art files for handoff to product development
- Assist in creating all seasonal color palettes for each brand
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Design (Textiles, Graphics, Product Development, Home Fashions, Apparel Fashions, etc.)
- 2-5 years of experience in a CAD design role
- Working knowledge and proficiency in NedGraphics software, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Background in color and design from college and/or work experience
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office programs
Salary: $60,000-$85,000
