What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer - Contemporary Womenswear position at Fourth Floor?
Our client, a contemporary womenswear brand, is looking for a Designer to join their team in New York!
**Role requires being onsite in NYC 4 days per week**
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Creative Director to develop line plans
- Develop seasonal concepts
- Conduct market research
- Lead fittings
- Create fabric boards, sketches, CADs, tech packs, and illustrations
- Manage and create BOM
- Communicate with factories and oversee lab dip submissions
- Sample management
Qualifications:
- 5 years of womenswear design experience, outerwear experience highly preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of materials, fabrics, trims, etc.
- Factory communication experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
