We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Agent to join our team and play a key role in managing the procurement process for our fire truck manufacturing operations.
SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor is required to demonstrate leadership skills, accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures in an efficient environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setting Daily / weekly / monthly objectives and communicating them to employees.
- Select, train, motivate and direct an effective work group to achieve departmental, plant, and company goals.
- Be passionate about safety and maintain a safe working environment in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Provide coaching and continuous feedback to team on improvements or opportunities for improvement.
- Implement methods improvement; plan, organize, and administer departmental systems, procedures, manpower, and controls for a cost-effective operation.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement cost reduction; eliminate waste and non-value-added processes.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
A minimum of (3) years of Production supervision preferred.
Experience with Microsoft AX is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bilingual is a must.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong general math skills
