RN supervisor will be responsible for developing and managing resident care plans that meet the needs of facility residents short term and long term care plans. RN manager works with new residents to assess their conditions and requirements along with the purpose of developing care plans customized to meet the specific personal needs of residents. Performs concurrent reviews, indicates the appropriate level of care and utilization of services needed, develops discharge plans, and ensures quality cost effectiveness. May develop assignments in coordination with the care partners and assist in supervising team members that are accountable for resident care and satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Essential functions are the minimum required duties and abilities necessary to perform the job.
- Works with new residents to assess their conditions and requirements along with the purpose of developing care plans customized to meet the specific personal needs of residents.
- Regularly evaluating these plans and updating them when needed are essential to the competent performance of a RN Supervisor duties.
- Impart education to residents and their families about the proper way of following the health plans.
- Assume primary responsibility for a patient/family using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient/family needs, goals and interventions.
- Coordinate all patient/family services and prioritization of needs with the members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Assures that nursing staff is carrying out their respective duties toward resident care. This includes monitoring and responding to arial emergency call alerts and other resident and family care needs are met appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Utilizes the nursing process to identify resident conditions that require further evaluation and treatment by a physician.
- Reports significant medical changes to the relevant Team Members, Physician, interdisciplinary team and designated family members as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current RN license
- Current CPR certification
