Job Title: Game Manager (Schedule B Position)

Job Summary:
The Game Manager plays a key role in the coordination and management of after-school athletic events. This position supports the smooth operation of games by overseeing logistics, ensuring the proper setup, and assisting coaches, athletes, and spectators. The Game Manager will work closely with the Athletic Department to ensure events run efficiently, maintaining a positive and safe environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage the logistics for athletic events, including game setup, equipment preparation, and ensuring facilities are ready for play.
- Serve as the main point of contact for visiting teams, referees, and spectators during games.
- Coordinate the arrival and departure of teams, ensuring timely warm-ups and game preparations.
- Assist with the enforcement of game schedules, ensuring that events start and end on time.
- Ensure the availability of necessary game equipment (e.g., scoreboards, timing devices, uniforms) and troubleshoot any issues during the event.
- Oversee crowd control and facilitate communication between event staff, coaches, and officials.
- Provide support to coaches, players, and referees as needed, including addressing any immediate concerns or issues.
- Maintain the safety of participants by ensuring proper adherence to safety protocols and reporting any incidents or accidents to the Athletic Director.
- Assist with post-game activities, including ensuring that all equipment is accounted for and that the facility is properly cleaned and secured.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director to address any scheduling conflicts, emergencies, or changes to planned events.
- Assist in other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director to support the broader athletic program.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with coaches, athletes, officials, and spectators.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of athletic events and sports operations is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for scheduled events.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- A background in coaching or athletics is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, such as sports gear, tables, or chairs, as needed for events.
Compensation:
