What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outdoor Early Childhood Teacher -TEMPORARY/Part Time Mid May through August position at Fox and Bear Child Care?
This is a TEMPORARY position starting Mid May and ending at the end of August. It is a 25 hour per week position, and it requires availability between 12 pm - 5 pm, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Applicants must be enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry or currently be in the process of enrolling. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Fox and Bear Child Care is a licensed, PLAY BASED, OUTDOOR, early childhood program in a home environment that cares for 16 children. Our play space is mostly outside where we have a 600 sq ft outdoor play and art shelter and two covered patios. We use our indoor play space when weather does not permit a comfortable play and learning experience. As a Fox and Bear teacher you will help guide, care for, role model, and facilitate creative activities for children ages 1 - 5 years. This role is heavy on using your own creativity to design inviting environments in an outdoor setting for children, and there is constant setting up, cleaning up, and the resetting of play, rest, and meal spaces. It is a physically demanding and rewarding role.
Experience in a group child care situation is preferred, however, consideration is given to MATURE, RELIABLE individuals with experience in other fields.
This position is part time, approximately 25 hours per week, 4 - 5 days per week.
This position is not available to those who need child care for their own child as we are fully enrolled.
Requirements include CURRENT ENROLLMENT IN THE OREGON CENTRAL BACKGROUND REGISTRY or an application in process for enrollment in the background registry . Training requirements include, but is not limited to, CPR/First Aid and classes offered by the Early Learning Division that can be completed during the first 30 days of employment.
