Fox Chapel Golf Club, a prestigious private club located in the suburban Fox Chapel area, is seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals to join our Golf Operations team in April 2025. We are hiring for multiple roles, including Player Assistants, Starters, Greeters, and Outside Operations staff. Position Details
- Department: Golf
- Reports To: Head Golf Professional, Assistant Golf Professional, Outside Service Manager
- Pay Range: $15–$20 per hour
Job Summary
As a part of the Golf Operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for members and guests. From greeting players to maintaining the golf course's pace of play, you will contribute to every stage of their visit.
Key Responsibilities by Role
Player Assistant/Starter:
- Manage and maintain an accurate starting sheet for tee times.
- Monitor the golf course to ensure players maintain the designated pace of play.
- Assist players with inquiries and provide on-course support.
- Enforce golf cart usage rules and repair minor course issues (e.g., ball marks, trash pickup).
- Maintain proper spacing between groups to ensure smooth play.
- Communicate regularly with the Golf Shop and provide daily golfer tracking reports.
Greeter/Outside Operations:
- Provide a warm and enthusiastic welcome to members and guests upon arrival.
- Assist with loading and unloading golf bags at the bag drop area.
- Maintain and organize the practice range setup.
- Clean and detail golf carts and ensure they are ready for use.
- Clean and store golf clubs after play.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding service from arrival to departure.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in hospitality, golf, or customer service is preferred but not required.
Skills & Attributes:
- A friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on exceptional service.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable with frequent walking, standing, and light physical activity.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Licenses:
- Valid driver’s license required.
