What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ticket Agent position at Fox Cities Performing Arts Center?
Job Summary
You’ll help create our excellent guest experience, often serving as the first point of contact, by answering questions about ticketed events, assisting with the selection and purchase of tickets, processing season packages, and greeting patrons according to the standard of service set forth by the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
- Provides a high level of customer service consistent with the Center’s stanc a positive attitude with co-workers, managers and patrons.
- Greet and welcome all guests.
- Answers questions and responds to requests from patrons in person, over the phone, and through email.
- Assist guests in selecting and purchasing tickets for events at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center using the Archtics and Ticketmaster computerized ticketing systems.
- Assist in the processing of season ticket packages.
- Prepares tickets for mailing and will call.
- Accurately processes credit card, cash, check, gift card and voucher transactions and balance at the end of each shift.
- Complete reports, forms and tasks as required by the department.
- Demonstrate reliable availability for work and professional appearance.
- Other general office duties as assigned by managers, including data entry
Job Qualifications
- One-year customer service experience required.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Computer and keyboarding proficiency with MS Excel experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively and courteously interact with a large diverse customer population
- Knowledge of the performing arts is helpful
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Professional, energetic, positive demeanor a must
This position is part-time, hourly, non-exempt.
