JOB DESCRIPTION
TMZ is looking for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR team. The ideal Human Resources Coordinator candidate will be a hands-on, enthusiastic, self-starter who can effectively manage multiple priorities within a busy newsroom environment. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for managing the onboarding and offboarding process, supporting recruitment, handling transactional matters, and fielding day-to-day HR inquiries.
Responsibilities :
- Provide HR administrative support to the Head of HR and Director of Talent Acquisition
- Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Schedule interviews, candidate follow-ups, and conduct reference checks
- Attend talent acquisition events as needed
- Create and maintain job description library
- Oversee Intern check-ins and workshop schedule
- Provide administrative assistance during performance review process
- Manage HR Database
- Oversee and manage COVID-19 protocols
- Coordinate and facilitate training as needed
- Coordinate yearly employee Flu Shot Clinic
- Other duties and projects as assigned

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate / range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $21.00-23.63 per hour for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $17.50-19.50 per hour for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical / dental / vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
