We currently have a career opportunity for a full-time Community Mortgage Lender - Bilingual based out of our Main Street branch in Green Bay!
The Community Mortgage Lender - Bilingual leverages new and existing relationships throughout the community to generate mortgage loans focusing primarily on multicultural households with low-to-moderate income. The Community Mortgage Lender identifies, develops, and maintains relationships with community-based organizations, realtors, and local state / government agencies to generate a recurring source of referrals. The qualified individual will have an extensive understanding of the local affordable housing market and Housing Assistance Programs (DPP), and experience providing quality mortgage lending solutions and guidance to low- and moderate-income, multicultural first-time homebuyers.
The primary responsibilities of the Community Mortgage Lender- Bilingual role include but are not limited to :
- Developing, establishing, and maintaining a quality network of community-based organizations, realtors, and local / state government agencies resulting in a recurring source of new mortgage lending opportunities with an emphasis on multicultural, low-to-moderate income first-time homebuyers
- Increasing new money mortgage loan volume using relationship-based lending
- Representing the credit union at community events to develop and maintain quality referral relationships
- Building rapport with members while professionally analyzing loan requests to assess member needs and presenting appropriate grants (community as well as DPP) and mortgage products
- Managing and guiding members’ expectations appropriately throughout the application process, ensuring complete and accurate applications, disclosures, and processing and closing dates / timeframes
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of all mortgage and consumer products offered at the credit union as well as a general knowledge of programs offered within the market and industry
Candidates for the Community Mortgage Lender - Bilingual position should possess :
Position Hours : Mon – Fri. 8 : 30am – 5pm, Sat. 9am – 12pm (every 12
Saturday rotation)
