Material Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary
The Material Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the flow of materials within the supply chain, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and that materials are available for production needs. This position involves coordinating with various departments to optimize processes, manage inventory, and support overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and facilitate replenishment of materials based on project or production needs.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to align logistics with operational requirements.
• Track and report material movements, maintain accurate records in ERP or inventory systems.
• Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, inventory counts, or documentation.
• Liaise with vendors, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines for material handling and transport.
• Prepare shipping documentation including packing lists, bills of lading, and customs paperwork when necessary.
• Support audits, inventory counts, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Experience in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in logistics, materials coordination, or inventory management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations is a plus.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

Working Conditions:

• Work may be performed in both office and warehouse environments.
• Occasional lifting of materials may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
