Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Inspector to oversee well drilling operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. The QC Inspector will work closely with drilling teams, engineers, and safety personnel to monitor and improve quality assurance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and verify drilling equipment, materials, and operations meet regulatory and company standards.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the drilling process, including site preparation, casing, cementing, and completion.
- Monitor drilling fluid properties and well integrity to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Document and report any deviations, defects, or safety hazards.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for non-conformance issues.
- Maintain records of inspections, tests, and audits for regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize drilling performance and safety.
- Ensure compliance with API, ISO, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years in well drilling, QC, or a related field.
- Education: High school diploma required; a degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related field is a plus.
- Certifications: OSHA 30
- Strong knowledge of drilling operations, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in inspection tools, testing methods, and quality control software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in remote drilling locations and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with downhole tools, well logging, and pressure testing.
- Understanding of well control procedures and blowout prevention.
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
- Moderate use of Microsoft Office Programs, especially excel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
