Fox TV Stations
FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
The Newscast Director will lead the planning and production sides of newscasts, prepare studios for live broadcasts, maintain audio equipment, and envision creative ways to use studios and control rooms. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following duties.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively and professionally with on-air staff, off-air staff, production and technical crews, and management to deliver clean and engaging newscasts.
- Work with management and on-air staff to write stories and develop content.
- Lead implementation of new concepts and ideas for newscasts.
- Establish quality control and consistent look from the various technical operational positions.
- Manage post-show review, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving.
- Demonstrate responsibility for all equipment issued by FOX.
- Comply with all FOX Corporate computer requirements.
- Comply with all FOX Corporate and station policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate / range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $38.38 per hour. We provide medical / dental / vision insurance and 401k after they meet eligibility criteria and any State required time-off, in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
