Lead Lab Tech
Marucci Sports, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fox Factory, was founded by two former MLB players and their athletic trainer who began handcrafting bats for some of the best players in the game from their garage in 2004. Fast forward to today, that dedication to quality and understanding of players’ needs has turned Marucci into an All-American success story, the number one bat preferred by players and The Official Bat of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Position Summary:
Marucci Sports is looking for a Lead Lab Tech in Baton Rouge, La. This position will provide technical support for laboratory operations. Assemble, configure, and maintain equipment for use in tests and experiments. Load and operate equipment and perform analytical tests as assigned. Record test results and maintain records as instructed. Lastly, comply with all safety guidelines.
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain communication with customer support vendors
- Assist with research and development for BPL (data collection/processing)
- Performance lab maintenance (making sure all systems are up and running in BPL and clubhouse)
- Working with players to test bats and enter the data into systems
- Develop relationships with customers/promote BPL during downtime
- Coaching lessons
- Travel to teams for spring training
- Assist players on onsite service days (softball and baseball)
- MLB service days; onsite and offsite
- Perform bat fittings as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in related field
- Experience: Two years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
