Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator
Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager
Overview:
The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for inspecting and ensuring compliance with quality standards and manufacturing SOPs. This role is essential for upholding our quality standards and driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Inspections: Perform daily inspections of manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with all SOPs and industry quality standards.
- Staff Training: Develop and deliver training sessions for staff on SOPs, documentation requirements, and quality assurance practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support Operations: Collaborate with operators and supervisors to promote effective adherence to SOPs, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Log Violations: Maintain a comprehensive log of departmental SOP violations, documenting findings and reporting them to the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Material Examination: Assess incoming and outgoing materials for non-conformances, ensuring adherence to quality specifications.
- Manage Non-Conformances: Place jobs on hold and alert the department supervisor regarding significant non-conformances, coordinating necessary actions for resolution.
- Oversee Inspections: Supervise the inspection process for non-conforming materials, ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation.
- Detailed Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of all incoming and outgoing valuable materials to support traceability and accountability.
- Customer Reconciliation: Conduct customer product reconciliations as required, ensuring accuracy in quality reporting.
- Compliance Tasks: Execute additional tasks as needed to ensure compliance with customer quality assurance requirements and standards.
- Assist in Investigations: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager in investigating non-conformances, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other related duties as assigned, contributing to overall quality improvement initiatives within the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Quality
- Prior experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in a print finishing and packaging solutions environment.
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and relevant quality standards.
- Strong skills in inspections, audits, and assessments of processes and materials.
- Experience training staff on procedures and documentation.
- Proficiency in maintaining logs and reporting findings to management.
- Problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing non-conformances.
- Attention to detail to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with various departments.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
