Position Summary
Fox Packaging is looking for a dependable and safety-focused individual(s) to support production operations. These individual(s) will perform duties to support operations during shift hours, including responsibilities tasked by their superiors.
Essential Functions
- Read and review Job Order traveler to effectively identify which raw material will be needed, such as lip, mesh, film, and box size required for the specific bag being produced at that machine.
- Builds, closes and stack boxes creating a packing complete product that has met quality standards, in preparation to transfer for Shipping & Receiving department.
- Replenishes available boxes and wooden pallets as needed along the production line with the appropriate treated or untreated pallet, depending on the job number.
- Maintain momentum, being mobile as required, employee will travel from machine to machine completing designated tasks as per this job description and/or supervisors/leaders’ instructions.
- Load raw materials or work pieces (air shafts) into machinery.
- Position, adjust, and secure stock material or work pieces, on unwinding fixtures, or automatic feeding mechanisms. Thread or feed items through or around machine rollers.
- Unload, count, stack and sort material for further processing, packaging, or shipping according to work order specifications.
- Transfer raw materials between storage and work areas of plant and/or warehouse, by hand or using company equipment such as hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- Communicate with supervisors or leaders on urgent matters that require immediate attention. The MOA may be asked to work on small and/or short-term projects.
- Responsible for Closing Out Documents ex: Job Orders and Completed Skids; will be responsible for printing and reviewing print box labels according to orders in preparation for the Shipping & Receiving department.
- Transfer raw materials between storage and work areas of plant and warehouse, by hand or using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts.
- Responsible for own time records, must use a timekeeping system to record all hours worked. Ensure any missed punches, vacation requests, sick days, or overtime authorization forms are approved by a supervisor or manager and submitted to the HR/Payroll Clerk in compliance with company payroll processing deadlines.
- Responsible for quality in all aspects of work and ensuring customer specifications are met. Demonstrate initiative and a sense of urgency in fulfilling customer orders in support of all company business.

Education/ Experience:

WORK SCHEDULES/HOURS
Normal work week is 40 hours. Fox Packaging can change the shift schedule or request to rotate schedule based on Fox Packaging needs. Fox Packaging may require work on weekends, mandatory or voluntary overtime and might require occasional travel (up to 20%) by land and/or air. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
