Position Summary
Fox Packaging is looking for a dependable and safety-focused individual(s) to support operations in the Quality Inspection of all products produced in our facility. This position will provide support with inspecting, testing, and sampling machined or fabricated products to identify defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. This role will also utilize precision measuring tools and advanced testing equipment as needed
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the inspection of manufactured items. Inspects and/or measures items manufactured within the facility to verify conformance to specifications and/or to detect problems. Discusses inspection results with those responsible for products and recommends necessary corrective actions.
- Reads work orders, instructions, artwork, die lines, and venthole patterns on First Run Articles (FRAs) and compares repeat runs to previous orders. Examines FRAs to verify conformance to specifications. Works with production personnel to ensure that FRA products are built to specification.
- Responsible for creating the Rejected Material Report (RMR) within the quality system. Follows through with determined disposition of rejected materials.
- Responsible for analyzing finished bags before packaging for shipment to customers. Maintains detailed records of inspection findings, customer complaints and comments, as well as corrective actions taken.
- Works closely and communicates regularly with management, production, quality control, lab, materials, and engineering personnel to investigate and resolve any quality issues pertaining to suppliers, customers or production.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule.
- Practice personal safety and follow all area safety practices and procedures. Perform safety inspections on equipment. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety Manager.
- Responsible for quality in all aspects of work and ensuring customer specifications are met. Demonstrate initiative and a sense of urgency in fulfilling customer orders in support of all company business.
- Responsible for own time records. Must use the timekeeping system to record all hours worked. Ensure any missed punches, vacation requests, sick days, or overtime authorization forms are approved by a supervisor or manager and submitted to the HR/Payroll Clerk in compliance with company payroll processing deadlines.

Education/ Experience:

WORK SCHEDULES/HOURS
Normal work week is 40 hours. Fox Packaging can change the shift schedule or request to rotate schedule based on Fox Packaging needs. Fox Packaging may require work on weekends, mandatory or voluntary overtime and might require occasional travel (up to 20%) by land and/or air. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
