Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and design. This role involves a variety of tasks related to the upkeep and enhancement of gardens, lawns, and other outdoor spaces. The Landscape Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that all landscaping projects meet our high standards of quality.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Build and install landscape features including flower beds, pathways, and retaining walls.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various landscaping tasks, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, and other plants while ensuring proper soil preparation.
- Provide tree care services including pruning, fertilizing, and pest management.
- Irrigate gardens and lawns effectively to promote healthy plant growth.
- Conduct groundskeeping duties to maintain the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces.
- Collaborate with team members on larger projects while also being able to work independently when required.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes.
- Experience with power tools including lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying materials up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of landscape design principles and plant care techniques is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Pay: $16.81 - $17.60 per hour
