Fox Rent A Car is a subsidiary of Europcar Mobility Group USA, a significant player in the USA mobility markets. Europcar Mobility Group USA’s mission is to be the preferred “Mobility Service Company in the USA” by offering attractive alternative solutions to short-term rentals and long-term vehicle usage, with a growing range of mobility-related services.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the General Manager in the location's overall management and strategic direction.
The Operations Manager is also responsible for optimizing the profitable revenue growth of the location with a strong focus on sales and increasing the site's market share through superior customer service. In addition, this role will participate in the management of an assigned branch, emphasizing supervising employees in certain operational functions.
You will:
- Supervise employees of the entire location or specific operational functions
- Ensure clean vehicles, a full ready line with proper car mix, and sound specialty car management
- Supervise the rental/return process; minimize wait time and promote fast, friendly service
- Proactively seek process improvement to ensure high-quality customer service
- Resolve customer issues and disputes on a timely basis
- Manage overall location operations in the absence of and request of the General Manager
- Perform customer service duties on an as-needed basis; in the case of a complex transaction, during busy periods, and for training purposes
- Conduct and participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of location employees
- Evaluate customer service performance of employees, prepare effective reviews and participate in the review process
- Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma (or GED equivalent); college degree preferred
- Minimum two years experience as a supervisor
- Previous experience as a manager or supervisor with a rental car company is strongly desired but not required
